TVC - Referrals

It is good medical practice to seek your GP's advice before seeing a specialist. If your GP agrees that a specialist opinion is indicated, he or she will be able to refer you to TVC.

You may be referred to the surgeon or clinic of your choice or you may be guided by your GP’s recommendation. Upon receipt of a referral, your chosen hospital will contact you to arrange an appointment, or you may wish to telephone the hospital directly to arrange an appointment at your convenience.

If your preferred consultant is unavailable, you have the choice of an alternative date or you may choose to transfer between surgeons or hospitals. The surgeons can work together in this way as they have the same approach to the management of varicose veins. Both use minimally invasive surgical techniques and have comparable and rewarding results.
